«PolyU Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Global Student Challenge 2017» contest took place on the 26th June, 2017
The team of UrFU Case-Club represented by 4 students of International Economics and Business, with Oleg Bazhenov (GSEM) as a head, represented business plan of their own project «Coins by Points» (System of Waste Management culture development in Bangladesh using automatized material stimulation of sorting non-derogable wastes) at the international contest «PolyU Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Global Student Challenge 2017» held by Hong-Kong University of Polytechnics. They were evaluated by authoritative experts: professor David Phillips from Imperial College London, Great Britain; Humphrey Leung — expert in microelectronics, and venture investor from Hong-Kong Johnny Lo as a business representative.
After the public presentation of Case-Club project experts praised the fact that the idea was rather global and up-to-date, highly analyzed and well-presented as well as the simplicity and visibility of demo-material. Even despite the fact our team was not awarded with the prize, guys left Hong-Kong in a good mood:
«After the final summary of the semi-finals we were given an advanced feedback by prof. David Phillips, who provided us with the future directions of project improvement in terms of the contest, which is undoubtedly a good background for preparing teams for the future contests».
