In 2015, BA programme International Economics and Business obtained prestigious EFMF Accredited  by EFMD. In 2018, it was re-accredited for another 3 years.

European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) is an international not-for-profit organisation joining more than 900 members of business schools and corporations to enhance excellence in management education and development globally. GSEM has been a member of EFMD since 2011.

EFMF Accredited is an international programme accreditation system operated by EFMD. It aims to evaluate the quality of business and/or management degree programmes that have an international perspective and, where of an appropriately high quality, to accredit them. The accreditation takes into account a wide range of programme aspects including its design, delivery and operations, learning outcomes and quality assurance as well as the institutional context.

GSEM UrFU became the first business school in the Russian regions that gained EFMD accreditation. As of April 2020, only 1 other degree programme in Russia has EFMF Accredited .

GSEM has been a member of AACSB International — Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business since 2017. AACSB is an international non-profit membership organization that gathers business schools, corporates and educators that implement management education. More than 1500 organisations are members of the association, founded in 1916. Membership provides GSEM UrFU with opportunities for the development of international cooperation between the world's leading business schools and dissemination of the best practices of economics and management education.

ACCA accreditation is provided by Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, which brings together over 188 000 members and more than 480 000 students from 181 countries. In 2016, GSEM Master's programme International Financial Management (now a track of the programme International Management) obtained ACCA accreditation, confirming the high standards of study in accounting, audit, finance and management. Accreditation allows graduates of the master’s programme to receive exemption from ACCA examinations recognized by leading corporations in the field of finance and audit, and highlights their high qualification.
