Vice-chairman of Vnesheconombank read a lecture to the participants of the school «Doing Business in Russia: International Perspective»
The second day of the Summer School organized by GSEM UrFU started with a lecture of Andrey Klepach — the expert shared economic sentiments and predictions for Russia until 2035 with the participants.
«If we want to have stable and long-term economic growth, we need to develop the structure of the economy, — said Dr. Klepach, — If we look at 26 years of the evolution of Russian economy, we can easily identify that average growth rate was just 0.5% per year, while world economy at this period of time was raising by 3.4-3.5 % per year».
In Dr. Klepach’s opinion, the way out of stagnation for the country does not only depend on development of business system funding. Instead of it, increase of investments to the large infrastructure projects and development projects using innovative technologies will serve a huge purpose.
«A simple example — Russia is a leader of laser production in the world. Although, for some reason we export several times more lasers to China than we sell to Russian consumers. We don’t use things which we produce in our country to the full extent», — explained Dr. Klepach.
During Summer School students are going to hear a full range of lectures of Russian leading economists, examine the rules of doing business in Russia, visit INNOPROM exhibition and successful enterprises.
