Today the traditional conference of the university with the participation of leading Russian and international economists was started in the capital of the Urals
Experts consider that investments in technology and higher education can lead to economic growth in the country. For the twelfth consecutive time, the traditional economic conference of the GSEM UrFU began in Ekaterinburg.
Director for Economic Policy of HSE Yuri V. Simachev has trusted that now the emphasis is on technological development and investments in higher education. There is a chance to move from a catch-up model to a growth rate with accepting innovative risks and control flexibility. A fashion-prone model of attracting investments can be applied to new areas of technological development, such as attracting private investors and reducing cycle time.
The leading Russian and world experts in the area of territorial development will try to give an answer to this year key question «How to boost economic growth of the regions? » during the next three days.
