About 50 participants of UrFU Test Drive learnt about trends in international business and tried to develop strategies in a quickly changing environment
On January 8 school students visited GSEM for an interactive business game Trends in International Business: The Power of Economists. They were divided into several teams, each of which represented a transnational corporation. The teams then chose 5 brands that they had to promote on the Indian market, while responding to all the current events that affect their business in a positive or negative way.
EPAS Project Leader Ekaterina Demchenko and Assistant to the Director of International Economics and Business programme Alexander Ishukov told the students about the latest trends, key competencies of an expert in world economy, success formula for international business and main tools to enter a foreign market.
«The school students had a difficult but interesting task to promote a brand on a foreign market in a dynamically changing environment. The participants actively engaged with this task and showed quite good results using the knowledge for practical solutions – says Alexander Ishukov. – International Economics and Business programme includes a lot of interactive teaching methods, so that our students could use the theory and their experience in a situation as close to reality as possible. This allows them to become truly good professionals in the future».
At the end of the game the teams were assessed and got souvenir.
