Students Learnt from Best Practices in Event Management for Successful International Marketing

Professor Rodolfo Musco taught interactive lectures and case studies for students of the programme International Economics and Business

International meetings and events are one of the most efficient tools of international marketing nowadays. Digitalisation and the Internet do not reduce the importance of personal communication. On the contrary, they increase a person’s need to meet other people face-to-face to discuss all kinds of issues.

Professional practice of Rodolfo Musco encompasses many activities besides teaching. He published books and papers on event and meeting management, he is a founder and director of an event management company, a founder of the Italian representative offices of MPI (Meeting Professional International) and SITE (Society for Incentive Travel Excellence) associations, an author of the three-level system of certification for meeting organisation professionals (also available in Russian). He consulted for Ekaterinburg Convention Bureau during its early development stages. Prof. Rodolfo Musco is an ambassador of Ekaterinburg in the international meeting market.

Professor shared his extensive experience with the students and showed the broad spectrum of knowledge required for a successful career in meeting and events management. Students worked in groups to study the aspects and opportunities of territories marketing to attract international events, as well as discuss different approaches to organising various kinds of events.
