International economists have modeled the forecasts of economic development of countries and regions
Students of BA "International Economics and Business" presented traditional empirical research using complex econometric modeling. The topics of projects in English are based on the following socio-economic problems: sustainable development goals, foreign direct investments, environmental degradation, renewable energy, stock market spillover, human capital, and many others. The jury board consisted, the "Contemporary Methods of Econometric Analysis'' course instructors Dr Kazi Sohag, Kristina Chukavina, Rogneda Groznykh and external experts from GSEM Economics Department Dr Azamat Valey and Andrey Pushkarev. The jury was highly impressed with the performance of the students:
Presented term papers focused on empirical studies by utilizing econometric frameworks, e.g., vector autoregressive model, time series co-integration, fixed effect, random effect, cluster regression. Students were able to grasp the course's knowledge and successfully implement it in real economic modeling, noted Kazi Sohag.

The curriculum of the programme "International Economics and Business" is implemented in such a way that students in each semester have the opportunity to qualitatively apply their knowledge of new research methods in practice through projects and business simulators.
