Hybrid Spring and New Formats of IEB

Students and professors are ready to open semester

BA International Economics and Business opens the spring semester in a hybrid format. Despite the closed borders, online lectures will allow students to gain the experience of leading world experts from around the world. Seminars in classes will ensure the students' higher effectiveness  in team projects.

Few days ago a traditional meeting of the programme core staff took place, within the framework of which the results of the last semester were summed up and the tasks for the spring semester were set. Zhanna Belyaeva, head of the IEB programme, introduced the development plan for 2021 to professors.

Traditionally, a large number of events are scheduled for the semester. Through the Spring Science Days, a panel of the programme in English "International Economics and Business: Models, Trends, Prospects" will be held, newbies will continue to get acquainted with the leading partner companies and professors of the programme on a specialized course "Professional Orientation", senior students of the programme will take part in global business simulator, new interactive formats are also preparing to launch. Applicants will take part in the competition announced as part of the UrFU Test drive.

This semester will graduate 20 French Russian students enrolled in the KEDGE-UrFU second diploma programme. A full audit of the programme will take place in March as part of the EFMD re-accreditation process, including strategy, management and internationalization processes, curriculum, courses and faculty competencies, career, research opportunities for students and alumni of the programme, and other quality aspects.
