The graduate of the International Economics and Business programme spoke with students about World-Class Manufacturing (WCM)
Philip Makedonskiy, alumnus of the International Economics and Business programme and leading production planning specialist at Unilever Russia, told the 3rd year students of the IEB programme what WCM is, and how this concept is applied in leading companies to ensure production flexibility and competitive advantages. Philip demonstrated real projects of modernisation and optimisation of Unilever production in Yekaterinburg in which he personally participated, saving the company millions of rubles. Today Philip is a unique top-level specialist at the plant in Yekaterinburg. The IEB graduates successfully work in the Unilever company in different countries of the world.
The graduate also shared some useful tips for developing a career track, recalling a number of analytical disciplines and the atmosphere of the International Economics and Business programme. Philip revealed the important ingredients for success:
«The multifunctional approach gave impetus to career development in an international company. Perseverance, hard work, the ability to work in a changing environment are required, as well as constantly expanding your horizons».

«We maintain active ties with our alumni, which has been graduating students under various brands for 25 years. The first enrollment of students for the IEB programme took place 30 years ago. The World Alumni Club is developing in more than 35 countries».
