Foreign experts spoke about the Sustainable Development Strategy in TNCs, non-financial reporting and ESG impact assessment
Professor Ralf Barkemeyer, Director of the Center of Excellence for Sustainability at the KEDGE Business School, introduced the students to the international CSR- strategy and its implementation in TNCs in the context of global integration and local responsiveness. The professor revealed the main aspects of non-financial reporting and impact assessment, explained the difference between ecoeffectiveness and ecoefficiency, and also focused the attention of the international participants of the School on various types of rebound-effects.
As a follow-up to the Autumn School events, Rob Veersma, Director Training & Development at Gazprom International , told about Gazprom 's work at the international level and revealed aspects of the ESG implementation in oil and gas companies. The speaker outlined modern trends in sustainable development that are relevant for the oil and gas industry - energy production and consumption, climate commitments, carbon negative, green microgrids, water conservation. Rob Veersma also shared some career’s development secrets and invited students to participate in the Energy Transition Competition as well as explained why a sustainable mindset is necessary for market leaders.
In an interactive format, solving short case problems together with experts, the International Autumn Schools participants learned more about the international sustainable development of TNCs, non-financial reporting and ESG impact assessment.
