Master's students in Applied and International Economics entered the history of UrFU not only with friendship, but also with an impressive scientific portfolio
Master's degree graduates of 2022 have already left for a long-awaited vacation or have gone to work, and Graduate School of Economics and Management of UrFU continues to summarize the results.. Sharing our successes: the EUM-200002 group of the Master's degree program "Applied and International Economics" claims to be the most scientifically active group in the history of the university!
“All graduates of the group received an increased government academic scholarship for achievements in research activities and have publications indexed in the RSCI. During the two years of their master's studies, they published 28 scientific articles, 8 of which are indexed in the international databases Scopus and Web of Science (5 in scientific journals, 3 in conference proceedings) and 5 more were published in journals from the list of VAK. Almost all students of the group have high-level publications - not a single group of the School, and perhaps the entire university, could previously boast of such statistics, ”said Dmitry Gladyrev, Director of GSEM Center for research support.
The most active was Anna Gainetdinova, who was included in the top 100 graduates of the university: she has 3 articles in scientific journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science (two of them in the journals Borsa Istanbul Review and Technovation, belonging to the first quartile in terms of impact). factor, that is, the most cited journals in economics).
“Our group gathered guys motivated to study, who also showed interest in scientific activities from the very beginning of their studies. A significant role in our achievements was played by the professors of the program, who managed to interest us in science, showing that it is very interesting and diverse. In general, the lecturers of our program are already experienced scientists, many of whom are published in high-ranking journals. They shared with us their valuable experience, guided and helped with advice,” Anna said.
The head of the educational program, Oleg Mariev, emphasizes that scientific activity is not a mandatory part of the program, but those who wish to immerse themselves in it will find many interesting and unique opportunities.
“In addition to acquiring competencies in economics and applied data analysis, our educational program also provides undergraduates with opportunities for active research work with leading professors of the program, which results in articles in high-ranking Russian and foreign journals. This allows you to receive significant scholarship supplements, and if there is interest and desire, it can also be the start of a successful scientific career,” said Oleg Mariev.
We congratulate the guys on high achievements and wish them new scientific, professional and personal victories! And see you at the defense of Ph.D. dissertations!)
