A student of "International and Corporate Management" shared her impressions about the semester abroad

The whole fall semester was devoted to the preparation of documents: first, the intra-university selection, then getting a visa and communication with the host party. I chose the University of Montpellier, which is located in the south of France. I have been attracted to France for a long time, and finally there is an opportunity not just to visit the country as a traveler, but to study there, to spend part of my life there.

Only the warmest memories remained from studying there. The studies began in mid-January, so all the subjects here had to be closed ahead of schedule. However, there were no problems with this, as the teachers made concessions. Also I would like to talk about the education system itself. Before the trip, I knew my subjects in advance, because I myself chose what was interesting to me. Among what I studied were the following subjects: International Communication, International Entrepreneurship, International Human Resources, Business Game, Spanish, French. All lectures was in English. Initially, I had a fear that it would be very difficult. However, during my studies, I became so immersed in the language environment that upon returning to Russia, it was very unusual to listen to lectures in Russian. For each subject we had a specific day. Very rarely there were several courses. At the same time, we spent a lot of time at the university, because lectures were mixed. Most of all I remember the Business Game course. This course involved a business simulation. We were all divided into teams, and we began to compete in the production of boats and earning money. Everything went quite successfully - our team won. Another subject that has remained in my heart is Spanish. I have always loved learning languages, so when I saw an opportunity to learn something new, I immediately realized that this chance should not be missed. The study was structured in such a way that we practically did not speak English - immediately a complete immersion in the language. This, of course, was facilitated by the teacher, who himself is from Spain. We developed such a warm relationship with him that he organized a trip to Barcelona for us! We spent 3 wonderful days there, and I also celebrated my twentieth birthday. Isn't it wonderful! sn't it wonderful! We took exams at the end of each discipline. The exception is only the Business Game, where the control point was the result in the business simulator. At the end of the study, we were sent the results of our exams and grades by mail, so we ourselves were able to understand how well we had mastered this or that course.

I am very grateful to the university for such an incredible opportunity. Studying abroad is a serious test that will pump your personality from different sides. No matter how difficult and impossible it may seem, you must definitely try. Such a chance is sometimes given once in a lifetime, so if there is such an opportunity, then I certainly recommend everyone to go to study and participate in this program.
