Experts discussed how to apply new trends in joint innovative projects and educational products
The plenary discussion "Drivers of Business Education in the time of Global Uncertainty" was held as part of the XVII International Conference "Russian Regions in the Focus of Changes".
The main plenary session was attended by representatives of international and Russian business schools and business education associations: Prof. Dmitry Tolmachev, Director of the Graduate School of Economics and Management, UrFU, Director of the Analytical Center "Expert", Vice President of the Association of Russian Economic Think Tanks (ARETT) (Russia), Prof. Satinder Bhatia, Dean of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) (India), Prof. Sergey Roshchin, Vice-Rector of National Research University, Higher School of Economics (Russia), Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director of Indian Institute of Management Indore (India), Prof. Natalia Evtikhieva, General Director of the Russian association of business-education (RABE), Prof Dr Kangjuan Lyu, Dean of SILC Business School, Shanghai University (China), Vasily Tretyakov, Advisor to the General Director of the University 2035 (Russia), Prof. Debraj Ghosal, Strategy & Innovation Director – Student International Exchange, S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR) (India), Larisa Bogdanova, Vice-President of the Association of Recruiting Agencies of the Urals (ARAU) (Russia), Jorge Cieza de Leon Tuesta, executive director of Latin American-Russian Association for Higher Education ALAR (Peru), Mikhail Sverdlov, Expert in product development and educational analytics, ex-Content Director of Skyeng and Skypro.
Representatives of business schools and associations discussed ecosystems for the development of business schools, new clusters and incentives for business education within the G20, current competencies of graduates for the innovative development of regions, cases of successful collaboration of universities and businesses in the development of new programs.
Business representatives noted the demand for a model of lifelong learning and even presented the measure and level of happiness in Russia - according to Larisa Bogdanova - this is a monthly salary of 168,000 rubles.
The experts outlined the opportunities for joint development of the investment market in education: the already traditional vectors of digital and ESG competencies for business schools - managing economic growth models and technological innovations to improve human well–being are in demand in the participating countries: India, China, Peru, Russia.
Prof. Zhanna Belyaeva, Academic director of GSEM UrFU, noted the importance of harmonizing technological, digital and social requirements for the formation of tools for managing the demand for graduates in the context of global shocks. At the same time, the deans suggested that today the key challenges for Russian business schools are an equal balance between Asian and European market requirements.
