GSEM UrFU held International Partner Days 2023
From April 18-21, 2023, GSEM UrFU virtually hosted international guests as part of the annual GSEM International Partner Days (GSEM VIP Days). During the week, representatives of GSEM and international academic partners of the School from South Korea, China, France, Portugal, Algeria, Turkey, India, Morocco, Sri Lanka, Indonesia participated in an intensive program of events, the main purpose of which was the qualitative development of international cooperation and the search for new promising joint projects.
GSEM VIP Days 2023 program included 4 main parts. The first is networking and getting to know colleagues, exchanging ideas for developing cooperation, and searching for new opportunities. As part of the program, meetings of international partners with GSEM top-management, as well as with heads of international educational programs of GSEM and faculty were held.
The second part is acquaintance with UrFU and GSEM. Representatives of international business schools walked around the university as part of a virtual campus tour, immersed themselves in the student environment and learned more about university traditions.
The third part of the event was aimed at attracting GSEM students to active participation in international programs, getting acquainted with the proposals of partners. The presentation of double degree program was held by KEDGE Business School, France (for students of the program "International Economics and Business" with the participation of students of the program currently studying at BS KEDGE in Marseille). Also, presentations were made by the SILC Business School, (Shanghai University, China), ESCA School of Management (Morocco), Anadolu University (Turkey), Sakarya University (Turkey), University Larbi Ben Mhidi, Oum el Bouaghi (Algeria) , Kyungpook National University, College of Economics and Business Administration (South Korea), Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (India). Professor Jose Vergara (Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, Chile) held a meeting with students of “International Economics and Business” and spoke about the development of the economy, industry and foreign economic relations in Chile.
Round table "Internationalization of Research in a Business School" was held. Researchers from GSEM, ESCA School of Management (Morocco), Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (India), University Larbi Ben Mhidi, Oum el Bouaghi (Algeria), Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, School of Business Administration (China), discussed key trends and opportunities for the development of international research cooperation and identified priority areas for the implementation of joint projects with GSEM UrFU in the near future.
“This year the program of International Partner Days turned out to be really intense and active. We managed to get real practical results and outline new international projects that will be interesting both for the students of our School and for the staff,” said Ekaterina Demchenko, Director of GSEM International Affairs Office.
