More than 150 participants joined the XV International Autumn School of GSEM on Sustainable Development
The team of the educational program “International Economics and Business” and the International Affairs Office of GSEM UrFU opened a school on sustainable business development with a new focus on the digital aspects of ESG business transformation as part of the implementation of the strategic project “Human Well-Being in the Conditions of Digital Transformation” under the “Priority- 2030." The International Autumn School is focused on developing professional competencies in the field of ESG business management, taking into account the introduction of digital technologies, cross-cultural adaptability and research skills.
This year, more than 150 ambassadors of sustainable development from partner universities and business schools in Algeria, Bolivia, India, Indonesia, China, Malaysia, Pakistan, Russia, and Sri Lanka joined the Autumn School, thanks to the active work of GSEM International Affairs Office. The deans of Sanjivani Business School (India), National School of Business and Management, Green University (Sri Lanka), University of Oum El Bouagj (Algeria), GIFT University (Pakistan), MARA Technological University (Malaysia), welcomed the participants. Shantou University (China), SILC Business School (China).
“The International Autumn School is aimed at finding effective methods of sustainable development in the context of technological innovations and artificial intelligence and promotes international knowledge exchange, creating an extensive international network that includes leading business schools in Europe and Asia and already more than 600 sustainable alumni ambassadors. For many years, our program has provided opportunities for Russian and international students to gain skills in the field of business management, taking into account the most current development trends and experience of positive changes,” noted Zhanna Belyaeva, Academic Director of GSEM UrFU, head of the program “International Economics and Business”.
The autumn school is supported by international professors and business partners with interesting content. From November 13 to December 1, students will take part in ESG-focused sessions through the lens of 9 countries, thematic lectures and master classes to develop sustainable thinking, build sustainable business models and measure the impact of ESG on international business and economics. An important component of the Autumn School will be the participation of international students in the plenary discussion of the conference “Russian Regions in the Focus of Changes”. Together with deans of the world's leading business schools and corporate partners, they will discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on education and future career trajectories on November 16.
Students will also have the opportunity to try their hand at solving the problem of a built-in ESG hackathon with information support from Sberbank, following which students will present their projects to an international academic and corporate jury. All participants who successfully complete the program will receive certificates and memorable gifts!
