The School is again the leader in UrFU in this indicator
The results of the competition for the Scholarship of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region have become known. At GSEM, 13 students and 2 PhD students became its owners, which allowed the School to maintain its leadership in the university in the number of scholarship recipients.
One of the winners was Kamilla Grigoryan, a third-year student of the bachelor’s programme “International Economics and Business”.
“Research activity has become an integral part of my university life since my first year. Participation in conferences allowed me not only to present my ideas, but also to significantly expand my horizons, as well as to expand my portfolio with numerous publications, which contributed to receiving the first scholarships this semester. Such a joyful event for me became a real reason for pride and motivation to continue to develop. My experience tells me: excellent studies and constant work in the scientific field are the surest path to receiving a scholarship,” said Camilla.
Arina Izhik, a fourth-year student of the bachelor’s programme “Public Policy and Administration,” also shared her emotions about receiving the scholarship:
“When I found out that I had been awarded a scholarship from the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, I was very happy, but not surprised. Now I am a 4th year student, but I started actively studying science in my first year. During this time, I wrote many articles, attended various conferences, and took part in events for beginning researchers both in our country and abroad. Receiving a personalized scholarship only confirms that I am moving in the right direction. My formula for success is simple: a good supervisor with whom we are on the same wavelength, a field of study that is truly interesting to me, and a desire to find myself in something new.”
Master's students also received scholarships from the School. For example, second-year student of the educational program “Digital Technologies in Business” Yulia Khandrik succeeded in this.
“In order to successfully pass the competition for the governor’s scholarship, I consider it important to timely enter all achievements into the UrFU system of scientific achievements. This speeds up and simplifies the application process by simply transferring this information onto the scholarship application form. The passing score for a scholarship is at an affordable level, so I advise every student engaged in research activities to submit documents and monitor messages from university staff,” Yulia shared her advice.
Let us remind you that a little earlier, 69 GSEM UrFU students became recipients of increased scholarships for achievements in research activities. The Governor's scholarship differs from it in that it is received by students of both budget and contract forms of education.
