GSEM Ural Federal University students from different countries planned sustainable business development in debate, innovation, design and creativity
Russian and foreign students virtually visited the Yeltsin Center and took an active part in an interactive online program prepared by Anna Kovaleva, manager of museum programs at the Boris Yeltsin Museum, and her team especially for the International Business School. During the online quest "Money Talks", students, through the prism of Russian and Soviet money, learned a lot of unknown and unexpected facts about the history of the country, government decisions and the development of the economy of different periods.
Anna Kovaleva told us about her impressions:
«I was pleasantly surprised how much the guys from different countries are interested in the history of Russia. I was sure that I would definitely not hear the correct answers to many of the quest questions. I hope that our communication was interesting and useful for the participants - I felt very good with them and especially pleased when they supplemented and commented on each other's answers. Playing on associations and imagination "Your SDGs" immediately showed how differently the guys think within the framework of their social and cultural ideas about the world, and at the same time, they are equally passionate about teamwork and the common goal of winning!»
Anna Gastal, a student from France, and Aicha Bouira, a student from Italy, noted the interactivity and dynamism of the Yeltsin Center's presentation.
Anastasia Lazareva shared:
«An online excursion in the quest format from the Yeltsin Center is something new and amazing! Honestly, I expected usual boring excursion, but the representatives of the Yeltsin Center made my day. The interactive format allowed us to plunge into the history of Russia and learn a lot about Russian money. We also played an online game that is similar to “Imaginarium” and is related to the SDGs. Our team enjoyed the game, we rallied even more!»
Congratulations to Francesco Fenzi, Ulyana Bogdanova, Felix Dementyev, Anna Viktorova and Ines Bayard on winning the game!
Zhanna Belyaeva, Head of the educational program International Economics and Business, and Ekaterina Demchenko, Director of GSEM International Affairs Office, held content sessions on modern sustainable and digital business models of ecosystems, and also told everything about the organization of project activities and decision-making techniques.
Alexander Ishukov and Yana Lopatkova, tutors of the School, noted:
«As part of the debate, the participants outlined the framework for their final WOW projects. The guys work very closely together and demonstrate the sustainable mindset of future economists».
