Bachelor Degree Programme «International Economics and Business» is EPAS (European Program Accreditation System) accredited by EFMD in 2015 to become the only one outside Moscow and StPetersburg in Russia. This accreditation confirms that the programme meets international standards of business education and confers greater credibility on its graduate’s degree. For European universities, as well as for many foreign employers international accreditation is a sign confirming the graduate’s professional qualification.

Foreign professor Amin Sokhanvar opened the course «Introduction to International Economics and Business»
On October 6th, professor Amin Sokhanvar presented the lecture "An unprecedented decline in the global economy in the wake of the US-China trade war and the COVID crisis" to the newbies of the «International Economics and Business» programme. Professor worked for a long time as a researcher at the Faculty of Business and Economics of the Eastern Mediterranean University in Cyprus. This semester, Amin made his debut in two courses of the EPAS EFMD programme - Tax Management and Economics of Foreign Direct Investment.
That was the first English-speaking lecture at the university for 1st-year students. As noted by Amin Sokhanvar, students speak fluent English and took an active part in the discussions:
«I was honored to meet the new students of the "International Economics and Business" programme. I asked them why they chose to study this major and I liked their answer. They want to create their own business.
I hope I can meet them again in the future events at GSEM».

The lesson included intellectual quizzes and really heated debates about the positive and negative impact of actual trends to the world economy and business. Assistant programme director Alexander Ishukov shared his impressions:
«Newbie audience of the "International Economics and Business” programme left positive impressions. Students demonstrated excellent economic knowledge, asked constructive questions, worked with enthusiasm in teams, gave worthy arguments and examples in favor of defending their points of view».
