Bachelor Degree Programme «International Economics and Business» is EPAS (European Program Accreditation System) accredited by EFMD in 2015 to become the only one outside Moscow and StPetersburg in Russia. This accreditation confirms that the programme meets international standards of business education and confers greater credibility on its graduate’s degree. For European universities, as well as for many foreign employers international accreditation is a sign confirming the graduate’s professional qualification.

Scientists from GSEM successfully presented research at the international conference
Three researchers from GSEM took part in the 13th International Conference EuroMed Academy of Business (EMAB) «Business Theory and Practice Across Industries and Markets», which is one of the most respected conferences in terms of the list of participants, the representation of highly rated journals and the quality of scientific research.
The conference was conducted in a remote format due to the limitations of 2020 for the first time in many years. The already familiar online format does not diminish the vast opportunities for international exchange of experience, unique interdisciplinary research and new partner projects, vice versa enhances engagement.
The author of world-famous textbooks in international business and one of the world's most cited scholars - Prof. Michael Czinkota delivered the keynote speech at the grand virtual opening.
The key topics of this year were strategic management in global economy, impacts of sustainable development goals on global markets, firms and industries, consumer behavior in contemporary global environment, knowledge and intellectual capital management, application of the newest technologies in business, economy and society, moreover, a series of workshops on the development and writing of research articles was held. The conference proceeding will be indexed in the Web of Science.
Head of IEB programme, Academic Director of GSEM, EMRBI Country Director Zhanna S. Belyaeva took part in an administrative meetings on joint research projects and new opportunities for global educational cooperation.
Zhanna S. Belyaeva and assistant professor Iana A.Lopatkova presented the results of empirical study of clusters application and adaptation of the Sustainable Development Goals in the section "Strategic Management: Competing in the Global Arena". During the discussion, colleagues from Portugal asked interesting questions and shared their valuable recommendations for the further development of scientific work. Colleagues from Canada and Australia proposed to organize joint research projects on the sustainable development of the world economy, since this topic is especially relevant to the post-covid ecosystem.
IEB alumnus Anait Petrosyan under the supervision of Zhanna S. Belyaeva took part in the conference in track «Technology in Business, Economy and Society» with empirical research based on econometric data modeling of developed and developing countries, revealing the determinants of the growth of the video game ecosystem. The members of the discussion session from Italy, Germany highly appreciated the quality of the scientific work, its empirical data set and the results obtained.
Participation in the Conference was funded by GSEM UrFU Development Fund.
